HAVANA HAVENS
Karaoke, Malecón chicken and
enjoyment in the Cabaña
• Unique offers for New Year’s
Eve from Habaguanex, S.A.
THE
Habaguanex S.A. company is currently promoting a
special offer for New Year’s Eve at one of its
bar-restaurants.
This
establishment was founded at the beginning of the
last century as a cafeteria-bar-restaurant
specializing in chicken dishes. Following a total
renovation in 1995, it has many surprises for
clients today.
Prize-winning chef Owen Montalvo is offering Cabaña
chicken (ham and cheese-filled fillet) and Malecón
chicken (stuffed with seafood) as well as pork
fillets, with a variety of side dishes, wines and
beers at moderate prices, in order to celebrate the
New Year and the 45th anniversary of the Cuban
Revolution.
Situated on the right bank of the Bay of Havana,
alongside the Hostal San Miguel and the home of
Cuban poet Julián del Casal, facing the tunnel and
Havana’s amphitheater in Old Havana - designated a
UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site in 1982 – the
restaurant offers top-quality menus, a variety of
drinks, a karaoke room and performances by
well-known comedians.
The
Cabaña staff have received numerous prizes at the
Havana Fairs and Tourist Conventions over the last
few years, according to Bárbara González from public
relations.
For
reservations or more information, contact the
restaurant on 860-5670 or in person at No. 12, Cuba
St, esquina Peña Pobre, Old Havana.
Habaguanex, S.A. is attached to the City Historian’s
Office and manages 12 restaurants in Old Havana,
where you can enjoy Cuban and international cuisine
in a family atmosphere over New Year’s Eve and the
first days of 2004. (Miguel Comellas)
