More tourists go to Jardines del Rey
Cuban destination of Jardines del Rey is operating
with over 95% of their accommodation capacities
covered said Luis Báez, Tourism Ministry commercial
executive in that destination.
The executive pointed out that such rise is due to
their promotion in several international fairs and
the businesses carried out via the Internet; and
also for the rise in the quality services, the
expansion of extra hotel offers and the increase of
cultural, recreational and patrimonial activities.
Canada, the UK, Germany and Italy remain the main
tourist-emitting markets, although the number of
Latin American vacationers is increasing as well.
The tourist region Jardines del Rey lies off the
northern coast of Ciego de Ávila province and forms
part of the Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago, the largest
and most numerous of the four archipelagos
surrounding the Island of Cuba, with more than 2,500
keys and islets.
Coco and Guillermo cays, two of the most valuable
jewels of this necklace of islands, treasure great
virginal beauty.
