Informative note
THE medical examination confirmed
what the president himself diagnosed after his
accidental fall at the end of yesterday’s event: a
fracture in his left knee and a crack in the upper
part of the humerus of his right arm, which will
receive the corresponding treatment.
His general state of health is good,
and his spirits excellent.
For obvious reasons, there will be
further but strictly indispensable reports on this
matter.
The president himself instructed
that this note should be drawn up. He wished to
express his appreciation of the many displays of
concern and solidarity among the population. He
calls on everyone to stay calm and that he believes
that his recovery will be rapid, and affirmed that
it should be known that he is in a position to
continue attending to basic issues, in close
cooperation with the leadership of the Communist
Party and the state.
