THE 2007 International Pedagogy Congress begins
today and continues up until February 2 with the
participation of 4,400-plus foreign specialists from
some 30 countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia,
Oceania and Northern America and 1,300 Cuban
educationalists, in the capital venue of the Karl
Marx Theater.
Latin American and universal educational
philosophy and contributions for attaining a quality
education for all in the context of South-South
cooperation is the central theme of this biennial
forum, in which 2,411 papers are to be presented,
with an outstanding presence of Venezuelans: 879,
Cuba: 754, Mexicans: 382 and Brazilians:187.
This 12th edition of the international congress
includes representatives from the UNESCO, UNICEF,
the Association of Latin American and Caribbean
Educators, and the Andrés Bello Convention.
