Raúl meets with
Prime Minister of Singapore
CUBAN
President Raúl Castro Ruz met yesterday, Tuesday,
with Lee Hsien Loong, prime minister of the Republic
of Singapore, who is on an official visit to the
country.
Discussing bilateral ties, they expressed
satisfaction with their positive state and a
determination to explore other ways of developing
them. The talks also covered issues relating to the
challenges and current tasks facing both countries,
the consequences of climate change, and other
international issues.
Also participating on the Cuban side were José
Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, minister of public health;
José Miyar Barruecos, minister of science,
technology and the environment; and Marcelino Medina
González, acting minister of foreign affairs.
Singapore’s delegation included the wife of the
prime minister and George Yeo, minister of foreign
affairs.
