HISTORY has its caprices which, as time passes, become symbols. On April 19, 1961, the Cubans defeated the mercenary invasion on the sandy beaches of Playa Giron. AT the end of last year, Cape Verde suffered a severe Dengue epidemic which affected thousands of people and left six dead. Within a short space of time, the hospital infrastructure became insufficient and there were not enough medical personnel for all the patients who arrived at hospitals and health centers every day in search of medical attention.
