Presidents of
Cuba and Sri Lanka discuss bilateral ties

General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils
of State and Ministers, received on June 16
President Mahinda Rajapaksa of the Socialist
Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, who was making an
official visit to Cuba.
After the official reception
ceremony, the two leaders discussed the current
state of bilateral relations and other issues of
regional and international interest.
The distinguished visitor was
accompanied by Prof. G.L. Peiris, Minister of
Foreign Affairs. First Vice President José Ramón
Machado Ventura and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez
Parrilla were present at the meeting on the Cuban
side.
